There are more than a few reasons I prefer Twitter over the rest of social media alternatives. Even though you cannot compare Facebook –and its style— with LinkedIn and others, Twitter is more versatile, agile, powerful, speedy and instantaneous than its closest competitors. However, we have to recognize Twitter is still having problems with security and servers are still vulnerable to efficiently handling huge traffic peaks. Today, I have experienced one of these annoying “whale screens” saying in my Spanish version: “Twitter está sobrecargado” or “Twitter is over capacity”.
Nevertheless, Twitter is so perfect to me that I can forgive this minor fail because it also has another explanation. Twitter popularity and usage is growing so fast around the world. Additionally, they have delayed in promoting their commercial capacity to prioritize Twitter community value.
